What a wonderful mornings rugby! 12 hardy souls braved what could have been an awful day. It was great to see the squad having fun and running off that pent up energy from being caged by the recent weather!
Everyone came dressed for the worst, and that was the key to a fun session, warm kids are happy kids! We managed to get 50 mins of rugby in before the hail storm came. At which point we called it a day and munched oranges under umbrellas supplied by the Dads.
Despite the distinct lack of Mummy's today, everyone seemed to have a good time… ;-)
I would like to thank everyone that came today, we had a good turnout despite the forecast, and the quality of rugby and behaviour from the boys was fantastic.
As a general comment, we will only cancel sessions if the pitch is dangerous (i.e frozen), the pitch is unplayable, or our hosts cancel. If the weather is wet or windy, we will always attempt to get as long a session as we can. This will be based on how happy the kids look whilst playing.
To be honest everyone that came today was dressed perfectly so they actually wanted to carry on even when the hail came!
Take care, have a good week...
