On a wet and windy Saturday afternoon in Skegness the ladies first team took to the pitch to continue their winning start to the season.
After some good defensive passing and some excellent running from the midfield the first of the Dragons’ goals comes from Jenny Williams after some lovely work in the D. Skegness came back fighting and sneaked in an equaliser just 2 minutes later from a short corner.
After a disallowed goal from Skegness Ella Henson scored again for the Dragons with a textbook goal from some nice passing round the D. The Dragons attacked hard and finished the first half 3-1 up.
The opposition came back hard after a half time pep talk and the Dragons’ defenders were out to the test with the midfield stepping in to support and provide valuable outlets to the forwards as they worked the ball back up the pitch for Henson to score her second goal of the match after 14 minutes.
Laura Kemp put in some spectacular saves and kept the Skegness attackers at bay with only one goal to their names as a lovely reverse stick goal from Keira Maxey gives the Dragons a 5-1 win.
