Bourne Deeping snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

More woe befell Bourne Deeping on Saturday as they self-destructed in the second half of their clash against Havering.
Fully aware of the importance of this fixture - Havering were sat just one place and two points above the Dragons going into the game - the home side started positively and took an early lead through Will Cook when he slapped in at the back post after good work from Andrew Kind.
The remainder of the first half was even, both sides winning short corners and creating occasional chances from open play.
For a change, Bourne Deeping found themselves ahead at half-time but the slender lead was finally cancelled out halfway through the half when Havering drag flicked in from a short corner.
Perturbed by some questionable umpiring, Bourne Deeping found themselves reduced to ten men twice in the closing fifteen minutes and conceded a, sadly, typically sloppy goal when a hopeful Havering pass was flung down into the corner and an unmarked man squared the ball for a teammate to tap in from close range.
Things need to change soon for the Dragons or they will find themselves in an increasingly difficult situation from which to extricate themselves in the second half of the season.
