Greetings all

Welcome to 2026 and the return of Club communication with the Vice Presidents and Former players, so manfully directed by Tony Kallend for many years.

The Newsletter from Steve Ralph provides all the latest news on Club matters, so I will restrict my input to the issues the which will concern VP’s and FP’s mostly in current climate - costs of operating the Club and the progress of the great addition to the Clubhouse, which nears completion at various stages of time.

Your support is of course absolutely necessary to augment Player funding, when large projects are delivering huge improvements, but at vast cost. The Club is well known locally for a healthy support of Rugby matters for all ages, and thus thrives, when others are falling into loss and closure.

So, a quick reminder of the methods of financial support you might consider continuing to offer the Club:-

SOCIAL AND WALKING RUGBY MEMBERS £72.00 pa (£6.00 pcm Standing Order)
ALUMNI £30.00 pa (£2.50 pcm Standing Order) ALUMNI MEMBERSHIP was created for Members who live some distance from the Club, and are unable to attend regularly, but may wish to support financially.

In all cases of payment, please add your FULL NAME and either VP or FP after the payment reference

Can I remind you that Steve Ralph has produced the BECCS HISTORY BOOK which is a comprehensive recent history of the club - you may find your name listed as the top try scorer?? - address for copies, in Newsletter.

It is hoped that the list of addressees for this note is as comprehensive as possible, based on current knowledge. However, you will no doubt be aware of members who are not listed, and I would be most grateful to hear from you with a name and basic contact details.

Please keep in touch with any snippets of information, in order that I can build a very positive record of all Former Players, and you all in touch with matters not covered by the Newsletter.
