All mini and junior rugby activity is very regrettably suspended, aiming to return on Sunday 10 January 2021.

Dear All Beccs Rugby Family mini and junior section coaches, parents, supporters, and volunteers.

We hope that everyone is well and had a lovely, relaxing and enjoyable festive period so far.

Following the government announcement today (30/12/2020) we have made the decision to regrettably postpone all rugby activity for mini and junior girls and boys from the micros to U18s, aiming to return on Sunday 10 January 2021.

This all pending clarification from the RFU, as there is currently no guidance on what stage mini/juniors can train at in Tier 4. Whilst the government have provided exemptions for U18s, the RFU have said in their update (in the link below & image attached) "to protect all involved, we strongly recommend that wherever possible training and match play follows adult guidelines". Note that all adult rugby activity in Tier 4 is NOT permitted.

With local schools delaying "live return" until 11/18 January and 75% of the country now in tier 3 or 4, whilst we are desperate to return and see everyone, regrettably we consider that again in the best interests of everyone's safety, this is the only responsible action to take at this time. We are aware of a number of other local and Kent club clubs that have taken a similar stance too.

Thank you again for your continued support and understanding, should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact either of us.

Kind regards,
Daniel Kemp (Junior Rugby Chair  - dlkempy@gmail.com / 07876 215584)
