Beccs Big Build Update - October 2025.

The changing rooms and downstairs extension has now been completed and was opened by former England Women’s Captain Maxine Edwards MBE in March 2025 [Event details & pictures on LINK HERE].

• This was a great day and featured a Ladies vs Legends match, girls training and walking rugby on display. We were also joined by several Chelsea Pensioners for the occasion.
• The whole downstairs of the club has been repainted thanks to an army of volunteers in the summer.
• The new rooms have all received very positive feedback from players, opposition, referees, and physios.
• With thanks to Nigel Putner and Robbie Broadhurst for getting this phase completed.

We are now moving onto Phase 2a - The Roof Terrace. This will consist of;

• Laying paving on the ground floor roof
• Installing a glass south facing balustrade for spectator safety.
• Installing an emergency fire escape and access door at the bottom of the stairs.
• Building a temporary knock through from the bar and access pathway

Phase 2b will be the bar extension.
We feel that completion of the roof terrace will be another significant milestone in the project. It will be a very popular addition with the spectators/club members and those who might not benefit from the use of changing rooms as much as others
