Open to all ages of club members

Update January 2021, the winners are:

  • Isabella Mumford (Girls U13s) and
  • Thomas Grace (U10s)

The fundraising committee agreed that the thermometer competition winner should be both of them with a hybrid combination of the designs.
In particular Isabella’s fantastic design & colours, coupled with the detailed club history from Thomas, are excellent representations of BRFC.

PRIZE
Instead of splitting a medium brick between them, the fundraising committee have decided to present both Isabella and Thomas with their your own individual small brick of their choice.

Thank you - Jo Gardner
Our considerable and extended huge thanks to the very talented Jo Gardner (it_must_be_a_sign) for producing the design with an adjustable boot, that will visibly mirror the fundraising financial milestones. Jo’s detail of club name in Isabella’s own handwriting from wood, is simply outstanding too. Many thanks Jo.

..............................................

As part of the clubhouse extension fundraising project and as a physical and visible marker of how fundraising efforts are progressing - the fundraising committee have launched a "fundraising thermometer design competition" open to all club members. The idea will be to update the thermometer which will be positioned prominently in the clubhouse, as funds are received, in order that everyone can track progress and be fully engaged in the progress as a collective.

Funds secured so far are £168,000 (@ 16/Nov/2021). Anticipate the cost will be in the order of £600,000. EVERYONE’S HELP WILL BE NEEDED TO ACHIEVE THE TARGET - see list off fundraising ideas here & PDF below.

The winning design will be enlarged and printed for permanent display in the clubhouse AND the winning designer will be immortalised with their very own Brick including a choice of colour and wording etc, usual price £200.

The competition is open with immediate effect, designs can be submitted either as a computer-generated image or hand-drawn on paper.

Judging criteria will include:

  • Representative of Beccehamian RFC
  • Originality
  • No restrictions on thermometer design, could be rugby posts/ball/tackle bag etc…
  • The design MUST include: (a) the Beccehamian RFC name, and (b) thermometer up to £600,000. Bear in mind the idea is to update with ££ progress, so suggest incremental ££ markers.
