Ready4Rugby touch games played by mini & junior girls & boys, senior ladies and men. Bar open, everyone welcome, STRICT COVID-19 procedures in place.

The RFU is calling on clubs and their local communities to join the ‘Pitch Up for Rugby’ weekend. Further details on the RFU website available here.

Beccs looks forward to welcoming everyone on Saturday 12th September back down to get involved in England Rugby’s ‘Pitch Up’ celebrations, now that clubs have been greenlit by the Department of Digital, Culture, media and Sport (DCMS) to play Ready4Rugby, an adapted non-contact game and O2 Touch.

"Pitch Up" will provide the perfect opportunity for players to return to the club and learn the RFU’s adapted gameplay Ready4Rugby and offers them chance to catch up and train with teammates, following an extended break due to the pandemic.

Extra health and safety measures have been introduced at the club and government updates will be monitored to provide a safe environment for participants. The overriding objective is that all sections of the club watch everyone else and are encouraged to stay down at the club for the afternoon.

"Thank you for registering to take part in this weekend’s Pitch Up for Rugby activity. We hope your plans are coming together and your members are looking forward to the event.
Although social gatherings of more than six people will be banned in England from Monday 14 September, the Government has confirmed that organised sports and activities that have been through return to play protocols, can continue. This includes Ready 4 Rugby Activity and O2 Touch.
You can continue with your activities and plans to celebrate players being back on the pitch this weekend."
