Following the success of last year's "B2BBBR" ride, which raised an impressive £1,312 towards the Beccs Big Build project, a determined (and slightly questionable) group of cyclists has decided to do it all again — and this year they're joined by fellow club member Mark Jones.
On Saturday 18 July 2026, Rob Curl, Nik Wolf, Fraser Archibald and Mark Jones will take on the Beccs to Brighton Beer Bike Ride, cycling approximately 50 miles from Beccs Rugby Club to Brighton seafront.
The team has carefully planned a route featuring several well-earned refreshment stops along the way, where they hope to replenish fluids in the traditional manner. The challenge will also include an attempt to conquer the infamous Ditchling Beacon, one of the South East's most demanding cycling climbs.
While the ride promises plenty of laughs, camaraderie and perhaps a few beers, the fundraising objective is a serious one. Thanks to the incredible support of members and supporters, the club's new changing rooms and roof terrace have now been completed. The next stage of development is Phase 3 – the Members' Bar Extension, including glass doors opening directly onto our fantastic new roof terrace.
Every penny raised from this challenge will go towards helping make this next phase a reality and continue improving the facilities for current and future generations of Beccs members.
We would be hugely grateful for any support you can give. No donation is too small, and every contribution helps us get closer to our target.
