Beccs delighted to host the first ever Girls rugby TAG tournament for the Bromley School Games

Today, Thursday 23rd January 2020, Beccs were delighted to host the first ever Girls rugby TAG tournament for the Bromley School Games. 16 teams entered with approximately 150 girls participating.

Spending the afternoon playing rugby.  Standard was awesome and much fun had by all. Plenty of positive feedback from schools, parents and the children themselves.

Thank you to Bromley school games for assisting with the running of the tournament.
Also thanks to Anthony Kempster, Robbie Broadhurst and Paul Thirkettle for setting up.

Brilliant to have some Langley Park boys refereeing and they were fantastic. Max Kempster (Beccs U15s), Harry Stevens (ex Beccs, now Broncos) and Alex Frini (Beckenham).

Going forward hoping to make this yearly event at Beccs.

Any girls interested in taking their rugby further, are most welcome to get in touch with Beccs Girls Rugby, Email beccehamianrfcgirls@gmail.com or follow on Twitter @BeccsGirlsRugby

Girls training is held on Tuesday evenings 6:30-8pm and Sunday mornings for training/matches from 10am.
In a little under 12months, Beccs Girls have formed a U11s, U13s and U15s teams (with the U18s having their first fixture on 16th February 2020) played in several festivals and triangular fixtures, and looking forward to their first ever Beccs Girls rugby tour in March 2020.
