Beccs started off well and with only 5 minutes on the clock were awarded a penalty in front of the posts. All our experts at the opposite end of the pitch thought the penalty should be kicked but a quick tap was taken and a cross field kick resulted in Scott Macaulay touching down to score a try 5-0.
Beccs had not conceded a penalty 11 minutes into the game which is certainly a record this season.

Beccs were awarded another penalty near the half way line and Alex Warsop kicked it to touch. Beccs threw the ball over the lineout and prop George Tossell jinked to the line to score. It left an easy conversion for Jordan Souter 12-0.

Crowborough are a very good side and managed to control the next fifteen minutes. Normal service was restored and Beccs were giving away a fair share of penalties.

Eventually wing Conor Hand made a barnstorming run down the touchline and scored in the corner. Ali Main kicked the conversion from the touch line to make the score 12-7.

Crowborough came back at Beccs again and set up a series of attacks on the Beccs line. The defence was strong but eventually Prop Tom Kent went over from a close quarter drive. The conversion was missed to leave the score 12-12.

There was still time for Beccs to come back again and Jordan Souter kicked a penalty on the cusp of half time to make the score 15-12 at half time.
The second half settled into an arm wrestle between the sides with both sides tackling well.

With about 20 minutes to go Beccs broke out of their own 22. The side setup an inter passing movement up the field and birthday boy George Tossell passed in field for Miles Entwistle to score wide out to make it 20-12.

5 minutes later Beccs were awarded a penalty which Jordan Souter kicked to extend the lead to 23-12.

Crowborough showed what a good side they are by coming back again. They were awarded a number of penalties around the Beccs 22 but chose to take the scrum. Eventually they managed to score a try in the left corner and Ali Main converted from the touch line again to make the final score 23-19.
