Another good effort from a squad of 13 Beccs boys , against and very well organised team effort from Sidcup.

Opening exchanges had Beccs on the back foot inside our own half. As with last week, some excellent defence , turned into attack with the Beccs boys starting just outside their own try line, going through the phases and marching up the pitch with some strong and direct running from Fraser, Josh, Quinn and George, resulting in Fraser opening the scoring on 5 mins.

The Sidcup lads fought immediately back scoring a minute later, with what set the tone for the remainder of the game with some excellent phase play including passing at the right time, some direct running lines and teamwork throughout.

The final scoreline perhaps not entirely reflective of the fairly competitive and close nature of the game, fair play to Sidcup for scoring 3 times in the final 4 minutes when Beccs injuries were mounting up. Ollie.M (hand), Ewan (ankle) and Josh (knee).

Extended thanks to Sidcup for fielding a mixed ability team [including some first time players], to ensure an evenly matched and competitive fixture (Link to Sidcup Match Report), Sidcup Coach Stuart superbly and very fairly refereeing the entire game. Well done to Jack (Sidcup) for excellently controlling the game and distributing very well. Also to the catering mums for the food afterwards !

Particular mention to Lewis, who despite injury and not being able to play, still turned up and showed support to his team mates from the sideline in his club shirt and tie. Bravo young man.
