Some encouraging stuff early on and to finish with. Delighted to get a victory, and a draw from the jaws of a victory ! So very proud of the whole squad for not giving up, and trying their absolute hardest throughout. Particularly with a bare 8 for the last 3 matches against tough opposition with large squads.

Beccs v Sidcup – Won 4 – 2

Really encouraging and delighted to see what can happen when we have our collective minds on and work as a team. Sensible passing, talking to each other and running straight. Cracking start really coming out of the blocks all guns blazing.

Beccs v Old Elthamians – Draw 4-4
Trys: Oliver, Louis, Ewan, Aaron
Much tougher opposition. We were equally up to the task and competed well against some quick boys. Whilst going behind 2-3 , the boys pulled together with some great passages of play and clawed back to be in the lead 4-3. In the dying moments, OEs "scored" in the corner to grab a draw, although there did appear to be some distance between the ball and the players' hand to actually score it ! On balance was probably just about a fair reflection of the game, although it didn’t feel it at the time ! (nb.. OEs “A” team plate runners up)

Beccs v Beckenham – Lost 2-7

Some small passages of good stuff, on the whole I think we went to sleep a little for this one and missed too many tackles.

Beccs v Sevenoaks – Lost 0-8
A very organised team with a large squad. Particularly liked the fact that the boys never gave up. (nb.. Oaks “A” team won the Cup).

Beccs v Old Colfeians – Lost 0-4
Again an organised team with a large squad, 0-3 down at half time the boys could have capitulated and rolled over. Delighted to see some real desire and determination in finishing off their day on a relative high which is encouraging going forward. (nb.. Colfe’s A team were runners up in the Cup)
