Kent Waterfall Day 3 (host: Medway)
Beccs U13s
Sun 7 Apr 10:00 - Cup Walkover winner: Beccs U13s

Beccs U13s at Kent finals day (Sun 7 Apr)

Won one, lost one & “Jug finalist” silverware for finishing second in the group.

Format of two 30min games (15min e/w) in the “jug” Kent county competition. Tier 9 out of 12.

Due to big injury list & other commitments, a squad of just 12 (we play 13-a-side) arrived at a foggy Medway ready to represent Beccs in the county wide competition, easy option to pull out , not going to be entertained.
All the squad should all feel rightly proud of their achievements in the face of adversity , and the manner in which they collectively pulled together, fought like crazy, and run themselves to a standstill for the badge.

Beccs 7 v 2 Aylesford Bisons (35-10)
Really positive start, Aylesford kindly dropping their numbers to 12 to match ours. A really excellent team effort, working really hard for each other throughout.
Pick of bunch team try, literally everyone contributing either passing, running, clearing rucks or supporting, 15 phases, 12 passes & 1min 18secs retaining the ball and going through the phases, started when on the back foot following a kick through picked up in our own half . Team try video posted link here too:‬
Captain Fraser.

Scoring sequence:
1-0 - 1min, Fraser 3/4 pitch sprint.
2-0 - 3min, Toby, team put him in space to use speed from 1/2 pitch out.
2-1 - 5mins Aylesford.
3-1 - 10mins, Ellis mazy run half pitch.
4-1 - 12mins, Toby in close support to drive over from short range.
4-2 - 21mins, Aylesford penalty try
5-2 - 22mins, Toby beneficiary of quick thinking tap penalty by Kingsley put in space.
6-2- 27mins, Ewan team try started in own half
7-2 - 30mins, Kingsley some individual “sorcery” nobody quite know what or how it happened!

Beccs 0 v 7 Sidcup Eagles (0-35)
Beaten by a very strong and direct running Sidcup Eagles team. Gap of 1hour 40mins not helping the cause. Likewise thanks to Sidcup for dropping numbers to match ours. Game called off at half-time, by which time the game was won and with our injuries mounting, down to just 8 players, game abandoned. Captain Ellis.

Thank you all parents and players for making the trip. Positive to finish regular season with some lovely county silverware and medals which is entirely attributable to and reflection of all the squad including those injured & n/a today. You helped get us here in the first place never forget that. It’s a team effort.

Squad(12): Aaron, Josh, Ewan, Christian, Fin, Cathal, Fraser, Toby, Louie, Ellis, Kingsley, Leo.
