Beccs U14s 43 v Dartfordians B 10

With nothing between the same two sides in the Kent Cup fixture in November resulting in a 17-17 draw, this was always going to be a close affair.

As much of the game proved to be, with Darts excellent "pick and drive" game, direct and hard running working really well and making some serious ground, like half the pitch on several occasions!
Starting brightly always key, and some direct running and useful collective link play worked well to provide Toby with a first half hatrick. Again the work in training and the warm up with a focus on handling and getting our basics right, produces some of the passing on display.
Ultimately a second half 4 try blitz in 7 minutes, was the difference between the teams. Whilst the try scorers have their names on the score sheet, it was again the collective team effort that got them there, first up low tackles, producing the ball and structure that was finished very well.
Thank you to Paul and Martin (Darts) for fairly and evenly officiating the first and second halves respectively, in a keenly contested fixture, which was not reflected in the final scoreline.
