Junior Cricket Update and Planning for the Season from Em Roberts, Chair Junior Cricket

"Once it's safe to play any recreational and Junior cricket at Beckenham, we will be ready..."
Em Roberts, Chair Junior Cricket

On behalf of Beckenham CC I hope you and your families are safe and well in these unprecedented times.

With such gorgeous weather, it's incredibly disappointing we are unable to provide any Junior cricket yet, but rest assured we remain optimistic and determined to offer a meaningful programme of coaching activity and Junior matches.

The latest policy position issued by the English Cricket Board (ECB) states they hope to operate half a season of matches commencing in July. In terms of Junior Cricket, the North Kent Junior League - and many of its constituent clubs - expressed a strong desire to be creative and flexible and do as much as possible to provide a meaningful programme of matches and festivals during the summer season for players.

Access to the Club and outdoor nets remains closed, but once it's safe to play any recreational and Junior cricket at Beckenham, we will be ready to provide as much as we can including coaching, internal club matches and fixtures with other clubs from July. We will keep you updated as appropriate.

Thank you for your patience. Stay safe. Stay healthy.
