Junior Cricket is happy to announce the gradual start of nets for U11 and U13 players, under the latest guidelines required by the ECB and the government.
Initially, weekly nets sessions in the artificial nets will be held on Mondays and Fridays from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.
Groups of up to five players will be supervised to run six (3 for U11s, 3 for U13s), 55 minute sessions. The nets will be coordinated via Mat Flint and Amanda Combes respectively. A weekly Doodle poll to secure coached nets will be issued to registered club Members via Pitchero.
If you haven't completed your child's Registration or Membership, you can use this link https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/beckenhamcricketclub2/payments .
As the rules evolve over the coming weeks, the Junior cricket team will increase capacity and arrange more nets and coaching including softball. Look out for regular updates on the site with news of more Junior cricket in the coming weeks.
We need all parents, players and coaches to recognise that there will be a number of differences in the way nets will be run, social distancing to be observed etc, but with goodwill and a lot of effort we should be able to do things safely.
Below is a summary of the operating guidelines Junior Cricket have developed to enable Junior cricket to start. Please familiarise yourself and brief your child too.
