U11s Boys and U12s Girls Cricket

In 2020, Beckenham CC will enter the North Kent Junior League and run four U11s/U12s teams featuring boys and girls: one hardball Division 1 T20 team called the Broncos and three Hardball Pairs teams called the Bears in Division 1 and the Strikers and Bashers (the Bashers to be led primarily by girls) in Division 2.

There will be further opportunities to play in Festivals, tournaments, the U10 Cup competition (won by Beckenham CC in 2018 and runners up in 2019) and more competitive intra-club matches. Additionally, girls (year 4-6) can also participate in the Kent Women and Girls' Kwik Cricket festivals (four across the season).

When you register your child, the U11s Lead, Team Managers and Coaches will meet to assign players to the most appropriate team squad, based on their experience and their potential for development over the season. Players with limited experience of hardball cricket will start in the Pairs teams and move into T20 when they are ready.

There will be regular communication between Team Managers and the Coaching team to identify and then address individual and team player development throughout the season. Added to this is a move to provide more focused team-based coaching outside of match play for our U11s and U12s players on several Monday nights during the season (more details to follow in April).
