All the action from around the club and community

There is no rugby action for our 1st XV, 2nd XV and Youth XV this weekend due to the rugby Internationals but there is plenty of other action involving our teams.

Our mini and junior “Bulldogs” will once again be in action on and around the fields of Mount Pleasant Park and Yorkdale on Sunday so please get out and support our young stars. They are a credit to the Club and deserve all our support.

On Friday night, our table topping darts team are again in action in the Pontyclun & District Darts league with a home tie against Tonyrefail RFC.

Beddau enjoyed a good 5-2 away derby win at Cwm Welfare last week to open up a two point gap at the top of the table. On the same evening, Friday night’s guests were recording their first win of the season against Red Gate A by 4-3. Lenny’s Lions have won all six games this season whilst Tonyrefail RFC stand in 11th spot having won that one elusive victory from six starts.

The game will start at 8.15pm and all members are welcome to pop along for a fantastic night of darts.

Cwm Welfare’s scheduled Welsh League Division Three fixture with Trefelin Boys and Girls Club has been postponed this weekend so all the attention falls on the Reserves XI who could go joint top of the TERV (Taff Ely / Rhymney Valley) league with a win at Aber Valley.

Cwm’s young second string have enjoyed an excellent start to the season with just one loss from their first five games and currently sit in fourth place and three points off the top two. Their hosts on Saturday have two wins and a draw from their first five games and will be a very tough and physical outfit.

Kick-off is 2pm and match referee is Mr Andrew Harries.

There is plenty going on around the Club for our members over the weekend.

There is another action packed Super Saturday of International Rugby and Premiership football which can be seen in HD on the many large screens and big TV’s around the Clubhouse.

There is more top Premiership football live on Sunday which is as usual followed by a top live local artiste playing in the bar area from 5.30pm. Always a top day of entertainment.

Don’t forget to pick up your lucky lotto tickets from behind the bar over the weekend for Monday night’s Club lottery draw.

All you have to do is pick four lucky numbers and you could be picking up a big jackpot to help with your Christmas shopping. This is a perfect way for you to make money and also help donate money to good causes within the Club.

Have a good weekend.
