We are delighted to welcome 2 amazing men to take the helm at the club.

We are delighted to announce that Craig Woodbridge has been appointed Chairman of Bedfont Sports Club and will be joined by Stephen Bickel as Vice-Chairman.

Both men have been at the club for a number of years and are part of the fabric of our community club. They both have done an amazing job with our junior section Bedfont Eagles over the past few years and now look to take on the challenge of the senior section.

Craig Woodbridge has been a stalwart of Bedfont Sports for over 16 years now, he was Eagles Chairman for a large part of that and now steps up to be the Chairman of Bedfont Sports.

Craig said - 'I am very proud and honoured to become Bedfont Sports Chairman. Its an absolute privilege to take on this role after being Bedfont Eagles Chairman for a number of years. This was an opportunity that i could not refuse after the club being a big part of my life over the past 16 years. i will now do my upmost to make everyone involved in the club proud, especially my good friend David Reader. I'm excited for what the future hold for me and the club and would like to thank both Terry and Gladys Reader for honouring me with the privilege to carry on the amazing legacy that David put in place.'

Joining Craig will be Stephen Bickel who took the role of Eagles Vice-Chairman over the past 2 years. Stephen has been a real rock for the club during some of the most testing times in the clubs history and we are delighted he has taken the role as Vice-Chairman, Stephen went on record to say:

'It is a huge honour and privilege to be taking on the role of Vice Chairman of Bedfont Sports Club. It’s an exciting time for the club as we look to move to another level. I have enjoyed every moment of being Vice Chairman of Bedfont Eagles and I hope made a difference. I can only thank all the managers and coaches at our wonderful club for the help, advice and support they have given me. Having spent nearly a year at the club during lockdown, I have learnt an awful lot about what is required to run it and also maintain it. Taking this on board will most certainly help in making decisions in my new role.
Fantastic news that Craig Woodbridge steps up to Chairman and once again I look forward to working with him. Finally a big thank you to Terence Reader and his family, it’s been a hard year for all, but the work that has been carried out and the personnel structure now in place I believe David Reader would be extremely proud.'

As a club we are delighted to have 2 amazing men join the club in the most senior positions and we look forward to the continued return to football. Bedfont Sports Club are very lucky to have such an amazing group of volunteers who make the club what it is.
