Sports roared back from a goal down to win 5-1 with top marksman Jamie Read bagging a hat trick

Its been a long tough couple of weeks, Pro footballers dont know what pressure is, try playing 5 games in 11 days and going to work all day !!. Sports battled hardend troops knew that 3 points was a must against Badshot Lea. Its been one of those season that we must win every match we can in our battle at the bottom. Mick Snowden had a fully fit squad to choose from with only Phil Dexter missing.

Badshot started like a train and went 1-0 up after 5 mins, the 1st 20 minutes looked like sports were going to get a hiding as badshot dictated the game and had all the ball. However as we have done recently we grew into the game, Badshots keeper made 2 top draw saves from tommy Mooney, Jamie Read hit the post and then on 16 mins our front man smashed in the rebound after the keeper had made another good save from him. Now it was all sports and the second goal came in DOG TIME added on (those at the game will understand this) Read turned in the box and smashed home his second of the game.

Half time 2-1 sports

The second half sports started the same as they left off, Read missed from 4 yards, Mooney had 2 shots well saved, then on 52 mins Nick Hardy went around 4 players and from 30 yards smashed the ball home in the top corner ....... what really happend was that the badshot left back fell over and Hardy who should have passed hit a grass cutter which crawled under the keeper to make it 3-1 to sports. Sports then added to there lead when Joel Saunderson made it 4-1 from a corner with his 1st goal for Sports. Read then completed his hat trick from the penalty spot and sport ran out 5-1 winners.

Man of the match has to go to the hat trick hero, however Tommy Mooney and Nathan Cooper were great for sports as they have been since they joined the club. Next up Farnham and the battle continues to beat the drop...
