Queens took the victory over Bedfordshire rivals Stockwood Park to win 26-12.
Stockwood looked to play a kicking game in the opening exchanges but Queens solid line out and kicking game of their own meant they were able to get through this period of pressure. This resulted in a huge driving maul from way out being rumbled all the way to stockwoods line to score. A carbon copy, albeit nearer the stockwood line, saw Alex Wright eventually break off and score. This was alongside a Josh Spearing Penalty to put Queens 15-0 up. Stockwood would score late on in the first half to reduce the defecit.
The second half was a less on sided although Queens got the first score again through good feet from Jack Peachey followed by another Josh Spearing Penalty. Stockwood- again- would get another score from their big 10 following a quick tap penalty which caught Queens offguard.
A strong platform throughout enabled Queens to win the fixture- especially with the driving maul in the first half. A number of Queens players excelled- Stacy Yates being given MOTM for his performance.
