It is with heavy hearts that Swifts announce that Tony Martin has passed on. For those who knew Tony, he was an iconic member of the club and was a key part in founding Swifts.

Tony’s funeral will be on 10th October 2016 2.30pm at the Crem in Norse Road and afterwards at the White Horse in Newnham Avenue. The notice will be in BOS this coming Sunday

"My dad was very proud that he was a founder member of the Swifts and enjoyed getting together with new and old on various occasions! Particularly all the dinners and of course the 60th anniversary which my husband and I also enjoyed tremendously and it will be one of my happiest memories of him on that night – think he might have been back to his youth on that occasion – very special to me!!

Dad played many other sports too, cricket, tennis badminton, squash, fives and after his stroke watched mainly rugby, cricket and tennis and was at his happiest when sport was on the tv!

My husband Steve and I and possibly other members of my family will come and watch the Swifts hopefully during this season."
