The Tigers held an open trial on Saturday for the Women's section. With over 20 players in attendance to give rugby league a go for the first time we are well on our way to fulfilling our commitment to field two sides in 2022.

The new coaching team of Phil Walker, Abe Kerr and Sam Richbell all noted that there was a decent standard across the board but more importantly there were definitely players who will slot seamlessly into the Super League set up!

The Tigers will also compete in the newly formed East RL Women's Cup this year against Hemel Stags and Brentwood Eels. This is the ideal competition for us to field a reserve grade squad which is key for player development and the foundation upon which the Super League side will grow!

Our next trial session will be on Saturday 19th Feb, 9:30 until 11:30 at Bedford Ath RUFC
