Bedford Town Football Club can confirm that James Smiles has been appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). The COO role is a senior-level executive at the club, and will report directly to the board. James will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational staff and administrative functions of the club.
With the club moving into the National League, the role will also ensure that the club's operations align with its strategic goals, focusing on efficiency, profitability, and overall performance.
James will also head up fan liaison between the board and the supporters, ensuring that their views and ideas are taken onboard as to how the club can develop going forward, both on and off the field. James will also continue in the role of club football and fixtures secretary.
He will start in his role on Monday 12th May, as the club continue our preparations for the National League.
