Bedford Town Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Callum Donnelly. The midfielder has been with the club for over five years, and scored six goals in our promotion winning campaign last year. He is the first player to sign PitchingIn Southern League registration forms for the new season.
Donnelly, 33, originally arrived at the Eyrie in 2017/18 transferring from Hitchin Town where he made over 300 appearances. His previous clubs also include Cambridge City and Boreham Wood. Since arriving in 2017/18, he has gone on to make over 100 appearances in a Bedford shirt.
Speaking to www.bedfordeagles.net, manager Gary Setchell said "I'm delighted that Callum has agreed to stay for another season. He was our bite in midfield last season, and performing alongside DS, Hugh and Joe (Butterworth) gave us a real engine in the middle of the park."
Hitchin born Donnelly has made 135 appearances for the club to date
Donnelly is the first player to be registered with the Southern League for the new season which begins on Saturday 6th August. He joins Connor Tomlinson, Drew Richardson, Elliot Duffy and Hugh Alban Jones in Gary Setchell's squad ready for the start of August. Player sponsorship of these is available now.
