The Eagles face Kings Langley at The Eyrie in a massive match in the Southern League Premier Division Central. Bedford Town recently beat Stotfold on penalties in the Beds Senior Cup as they advance into the next round.
Some of the recent league action hasn’t been great for the Eagles. Bedford Town have picked up one point in their last five league games.
In the most recent league games, the Eagles lost 1-3 against St Ives Town, 3-1 against Basford United and 2-0 against Mickleover. One of the main reasons for these defeats is discipline as in two of those matches, the game was lost following an Eagles red card.
Last time against Kings Langley, the Eagles suffered a 3-1 defeat at the Orbital Fasteners Stadium. Gary Setchell’s side went 2-0 down before Hugh Alban Jones pulled one back. This was soon cancelled out by a Kings Langley third and Kai Phelan red card.
Kings Langley have been in some terrible form since August and have dropped down into nineteenth place. Since beating the Eagles in mid-August, Kings have only won twice since.
Their most recent win came against a poor Hednesford Town side. This was thanks to a ninety-second minute Jordan Parkes goal to help Kings Langley beat Hednesford 2-1.
Kings lost a decisive match at the start of the month at Hayden Road. Despite being 1-2 up, AFC Rushden & Diamonds fought back and won 4-2 in a crucial win.
It will be a tense ninety minutes for sure as Bedofrd look to end their bad run of form. Kings Langley will want a repeat of the reverse fixture and see Kings Langley win.
