A huge match at the Lamb Ground as the Eagles face top of the league Tamworth. Bedford Town recently lost 3-4 at home against Bromsgrove in a topsy turvy clash between two closely matched teams.
On Wednesday, Bedford Town football club parted company with manager Gary Setchell. This was a very tough decision for the board to make but the club will be forever grateful to Gary Setchell for everything he has done for the club.
Hugh Alban Jones is a doubt for Bedford following an injury against Kings Langley. Drew Richardson and Charley Sanders are still serving suspensions but will make their returns against Stratford Town.
The Eagles lost to Bromsgrove Sporting 3-4 in a thriller at The Eyrie lats Saturday. In a game that had many twists and turns in it, Bromsgrove came out on top.
Despite this, there were some positives to take out of the game for the Eagles. Some of these positives include that Diadier Camara and Jack Keeble got off the mark for the club as well as Connor Tomlinson scoring his eighth goal of the season.
Tamworth have had an excellent start to the season and are currently top of the Southern league Premier Division Central.
Many would say that this form began at The Eyrie after the Lambs annihilated the Eagles 1-8 in an embarrassing defeat for Bedford Town. Four goals from Dan Creaney as well as a Kai Phelan red card killed off Bedford in a torrid match for the Eagles.
Tamworth striker Dan Creaney has been in sublime form for the Lambs this season, scoring eighteen goals already this season. He is the top scorer in the league as well as the joint top scorer across all four step three tiers.
The Eagles will be on the hunt for a result in what will certainly be a tough match for the Eagles. Graeme Tomlinson will take charge of the Eagles for this match.
