The Eagles welcome Hednesford Town to the Eyrie in a massive match in the Southern League Premier Division Central. Bedford Town are coming off the back of a 3-2 loss away to Royston Town in what was a tough result to take.
The Eagles recently appointed Paul Davis as new manager. Davis has plenty of experience at this level and he has lots of knowledge of this league. Davis lost his first game in charge against Royston Town but he will look to change this against Hednesford.
Eagles forward Connor Tomlinson has been in scintillating form lately and he recently hit eleven goals for the season. He is joint fourth top scorer in the league as well as racking up five assists.
Last time out against the Pitmen, the Eagles left Keys Park with a win. A Callum Donnelly curling goal and a clinical Tyrone Lewthwaite finish ensured that Bedford Town got their first away win of the season.
It’s been a miserable season so far for Hednesford Town as they sit bottom of the table on a feeble twelve points from twenty-four matches and eleven points adrift from safety.
The Pitmen have only won two league matches this season, beating AFC Rushden & Diamonds 5-0 and beating Stratford Town 2-0. They are yet to beat a team outside of the relegation zone.
One bright spark for Hednesford is Leroy Lita. He has been excellent this season, scoring eleven goals so far this season including a hat-trick against AFC Rushden & Diamonds. His Premier League experience is definitely showing.
Overall, it looks to be a cracker of a game in Paul Davis’ first home game in charge. Try to make your way to the Eyrie for this huge game.
As always, advanced tickets are highly advised and can be purchased at a reduced rate via the Bedford Town FC Box Office. All matchday admission information can be viewed here.
