Last Saturday over 1,200 people came to the Eyrie to see the best show in town as the Eagles consolidated their top of the table position by defeating second placed Berkhamsted. Bedford's 12th man played their part as the fantastic atmosphere inspired the team, including the superb, supersonic second goal.
This Saturday you get to do it all again as FC Romania have their first ever visit to the Eyrie. The relatively new team formed in 2006 when a group of Romanian workers got together to form a team. They went from strength to strength until they arrived in the South Central Division of the Isthmian League, before swapping to the Southern League Division One Central this season.
They currently sit in a midtable position, with their last outing a 1-3 home defeat at the hands of Harlow last Wednesday. The team are on 34 points scoring 46 goals (joint 6th) but conceding 49 (5th highest). Bedford are top the table on 61 points, scoring 66 (1st) and conceding 23 (17th highest).
Back in October at Cheshunt, Bedford emerged as winners by a Callum Donnelly second half goal.
