Bedgrove Dynamos 0-4 Haddenham

Report: Michelle Robertson

Team: Edward, Jay, Ellis, Luca, Max, George, Oli, Kai, Charlie, Callum, Dorian, Aidan, Harry, Owen

After a 2 week break it was a cold visit to Haddenham this Sunday morning. Both teams looked up for the challenge in what is traditionally a feisty affair.
Owen was the first to have a shot that went just wide of the post. Harry and Charlie were working wonders in the middle of the pitch from early on. Ellis then surged down the wing, went inside one player and then found Owen whose shot whistled just wide of the mark.
Next it was Callum who headed the ball just over from a Kai cross. Dynamos were creating lots of chances and having the majority of the ball. Dorian who was working hard down the left wing, tacking hard and winning many challenges. Then, against a run of play, Haddenham had a chance which was well saved by Jay who started off in goal.
A quality free kick by Kai found Owen in the box but the keeper made a good save to keep the match goalless. Callum then had another couple of chances from corners that were again well saved by the Haddenham keeper.
12 minutes on the clock and George threaded a lovely ball through to Callum, but his shot was again saved.
13 minutes into the game Haddenham scored. Their attacker beat Jay at the near post t make it 1-0 Haddenham.
Bedgrove straight away went on the attack to get attempt to get the goal back. A Bedgrove corner, in from Kai, went through everyone and just needed someone to poke it in.
Max then came on to make his Bedgrove debut, after his big money move from local rivals Wendvoer. He slotted into the back alongside Luca. Haddenham then had a rare shot that was well saved by Edward. Next Owen played the ball to Aidan whose first time shot went just wide.
25 minutes in and Haddenham scored against the run of play to make it 2-0 Haddenham.
Edward then produced another good save before the half time whistle. Half time 2-0. (don’t know how)

The second half started with lots of throws being given (ref being very picky) but dynamos started well. George and Luca working hard at the back getting their foot in when called upon. Ollie was tackling hard at the back and in the midfield area.
40 minutes in a good ball by Ellis found Kai who hit great shot which the keeper saved. Then Haddenham went on the attack and it was Jay then who saved a good shot from their attacker.
43 minutes Haddenham scored again, putting the match beyond Dynamos and the score was 3-0 Haddenham.
Charlie was running his socks off in the middle and Callum was all over field tacking and crossing the ball when he had the opportunity.
50 minutes 4-0 Haddenham and nothing much noteworthy happened in the final minutes meaning a loss against a sturdy Haddenham team.

Not our best performance but lots of positives to be taken from the game. Big hello to Max who joined the Dynamos family today and put in a good shift when he had his chance. Great debut Max! Dynamos worked solid as a team big shout to Charlie for his work rate today, he never stopped. This was just a blip (horrible pitch) but back to our winning ways next week hopefully.
