1. Introduction & Legislation


Introduction
 
Bedworth RFC makes a positive contribution to a strong and safe community and recognises the right of every individual to stay safe.  All children are entitled to protection from harm and have the right to take part in sport in a safe positive and enjoyable environment.  This policy seeks to ensure that Bedworth RFC undertakes its responsibilities with regard to protection of children and will respond to concerns appropriately. The policy establishes a framework to support paid and unpaid staff in their practices and clarifies the organisation’s expectations.
 
This policy has been established to be compliant with the RFU Safeguarding Policy and Procedure Guidelines, available from:  www.rfu.com/managingrugby/safeguardingchildren
