This is important reminder to all players about getting insurance in case of loss of earnings through injury. Chris Alexander has this to clarify:
“Given recent events, it is timely to remind all players that the insurance provided by the RFU only covers catastrophic events such as the loss of a limb, loss of sight, paralysis or death. It categorically does not cover loss of earnings. It always has been and remains a players own responsibility to insure themselves against loss of earnings through sporting injury if in such cases your employers will not pay you. Please consider your personal circumstances and take action if you need to”.
Make sure we all have the regular cover in place. We do this sport for fun and earn no income from it. Let’s just all be careful and have right things in place. We want everyone to continue playing for as long as you can.
