Written by a man going on the run for 28 days.Living in fear of The Austin Brothers and their shady friends.

This match report starts in the Tom Hoskins on Friday night when the dreaded Austin brothers wanted to play "The Hunted" as per the TV show and track me down in 28 days. But you can relax its not happening their mum Jane won't let them go out in the dark.
Last Saturday Market Harborough were the visitors to Belgrave.Prior to the game 75 people sat down to the ex players lunch the most ever for a first lunch of the season so book early for the others coming up.Match official for the day Mr Louis Massarella who has been to Belgrave several times over the years and I've always managed to spell his name correctly.Mainly because I ask him every time he comes.
Newcomers to the team this season number 8 Drew(doghouse)Graham, number 1 Tom(flapjack)Ball and Tom(the mod)Underwood.Best of luck for the coming season.
On the kick off Belgrave attacked the clubhouse end as the rain started to pour down, our spirits were not dampened as the bright colours of the Harborough members blazers cheered us up.Thought I'd give you a mention lads.
Belgrave took the intiative from the start after 7 minutes they put the ball through the backs and Joe(legohead)Pollard scored under the posts. On 15 minutes Belgrave gained the ball from a Harborough scrum put in pushing them back, from 15 yards out Drew(doghouse)Graham took on the defence and crashed over to score.
On 30 minutes Drew Graham went on another strong run drawing in defenders to bring him down,he passed to Joe Pollard who made ground and put Niall(right place, right time)O'Connor away to score in the corner.More attacking pressure saw Kirk(I've not got the legs)Harpin score from 5 yards out.The last play of the first half again saw Drew Graham go on a 20 yard solo run to score under the posts.Half time saw Belgrave in the lead by 31 points to 0.
Famous people at the ground Arthur Earl 2 years Cropston Cricket Club mascot and his brother Jack Earl 2 weeks old who seemed to take it all in his stride, plus their parents Justin and Marie.
The start of the second half saw Harborough camped inside the Belgrave 5 yard line and looking likely to score, the Belgrave line held through a number of attacking phases.A 5 yard scrum with a Harborough put in saw the Belgrave pack push them back and Sean(quick thinking)Kyle gain the ball behind his own try line a long high kick saw the ball back to the halfway line.
The second half continued in much the same vein, with both sides having try scoring chances, but defences coming out on top.Full marks to Harborough giving their all to the end keeping the second half 0 to 0.
Final score Belgrave 31 Market Harborough 0,plaudits to both sides for their skill in overcoming the conditions with torrential rain falling for most of the game.I'm sure I saw Gene Kelly
Next week a trip to Oadby/Wyggs who are level on with Belgrave both teams having 9 points this should be a close encounter,be worth a trip over there.
Coming up next Saturday the social event of the year so far Ivan(evergreen)Wrights 50th birthday. The usual Belgrave antics will no doubt be taking place,Sean Kyle dancing on tables,Ashley Clarke showing his body off and other lurid goings on.Have a good one Ivan.I myself will not be able to make it. have arranged an alibi, will be dining with The Archbishop of Canterbury and the synod of The Church of England but will they believe these people over the word of Ivan Wright, tune into next weeks match report to find out. Just off now to find my prayer book.
