Written by a man who went to a rugby match and ended up at a UKIP cabinet meeting and has never heard of Jamie T.(one there for the Austin brothers, got to get you in somewhere)

Today a trip to Oadby/Wyggs who at present are on 9 points equal with Belgrave. The match official for the day Mr Paul Macmillan an English teacher at Dixie Grammer School.Current update Kirsty(the stitcher)Stevenson-Kane is now fit and well and off the injured reserve list.Welcome back Kirsty.
on the kick off Belgrave attacked the road end and play was even for the first 15 minutes as both teams cancelled each other out, with neither able to dominate.Oadby then went ahead with a penalty kicked from the Belgrave 22 by Byron Measures of whom we shall hear more of later.Byron was in for a busy day.
Belgrave then hit back with an inter passing movement between Joe(legohead)Pollard and Kevin(bungle)Curtis which saw Curtis break several tackles as he crossed the line to score. On 35 minutes an interception on the halfway line by number 13 by Milkha Singh saw him outrun the Belgrave defence to score under the posts which was duly converted by Measures.
Half time saw Oadby in the lead by 10 points to 5.My search for famous at the ground did not go well all I could find was Charlotte Williamson the Oadby/Wyggs photographer,a school worker and all round dogooder. But a chance meeting with a man of high integrity and intelligence, one Tom Bishop known as "Bish" to his mates an injured Oadby player who reads all my match reports and they make him laugh only he knows why.Now there is a man who can see the wood for the trees.Only Bish will get that one..
The second half saw Belgrave lose direction, with mistakes and penalties letting Oadby take the intiative,2 more penalties by Byron Measures ( I'm getting fed up of typing his name) put Oadby in front by 16 points to 5.
A 20 yard run from Jamie Crumbie saw Belgrave pull a try back.2 more penalties by Byron Measures saw Oadby go to 22 points.I can resist it no longer I must mention the Shakespeare play "Measure for Measure" because Byron certainly had Belgraves measure today.
With the final few minutes of the game Joe Lunn crossed the line for Oadby.
I then thought I was in a UKIP cabinet meeting with much scuffling and heated debate, resutling in 3 yellow cards and a red for Belgrave,a last minute score for Oadby saw the result a win for Oadby/Wyggs by 34 points to 10.
A bad day at the office for Belgrave. But there was Ivan Wrights 50th birthday party to look forward at the clubhouse and looking at facebook a good time was had by all.
Next week The Kyle brothers, plus 2 other players fly out to Oz for a month, rumour has it mum and Kyle will be moving house prior to their return. No first team game next week, but the 2s are at home.
Just off down the Hoskins for the Sunday night quiz where we shall all join hands and try to contact the living,1st question "who you looking at" see you next week.
