Much depleted and patched up Belgrave battle on to the end in 9 point defeat

The Belgrave team were much depleted with The Kyles still down under Joe(legohead)Pollard and Drew(doghouse)Graham on the sidelines through injury.Several players were having to play out of their normal positions and 2s players were drafted in.These included on his 1st team debut 18year old Miguel Pratas and taking time off from collecting his protection money Ben Austin brother of Lewis LE4S answer to the Kray twins.

As the first half drew to a close Belgrave clawed their way back into the game and thanks to 2 penalties by Kevin(bungle)Curtis they went into halftime trailing by 7 points to 6.
My search for famous people at the ground did not bear fruit,but I did meet Marta Carlos,friend of Jamie Crumbie,Marta is a trainee solicitor and may go on to be a high court judge or not as the case may be.Ist mention on the match report Marta, remember "The law is the true embodiment of everything that is excellent" as Gilbert and Sullivan wrote ,plus remember the case of Jarndyce and Jarndyce from Bleak House.
As the second half progressed both teams had chances to score,with Belgrave running out of players Ben Austin and Miguel Pratas both came on to make their 1st team debuts,The game ebbed and flowed as the teams then cancelled each other out.
Laurentians as in the first half put the Belgrave defence under pressure and a blocked clearance caused a lineout on the Belgrave 5 yard line.A well worked move saw Laurentians gain the ball and James Orbison score his second try of the day.With time running out Laurentians closed the game out with a penalty,final score Laurentians 16 Belgrave 6.Belgrave beaten but not disgraced they battled on till the end,every player giving their all.
No headlights on the drive home used the reflection from Waynes coat,This week a firework display on Friday night at Belgrave 7pm start.Saturday 5th November Olney RFC will be the visitors to Belgrave kick off time now 2.15 pm with clocks turning back.
