Written by a man in search of his notebook, giving first aid to players with injured feet and fed up with fireworks.

This weekend a visit from Market Harborough RFC currently riding high at the top of the league. It being the sponsors day lunch 65 people sat down to a roast pork lunch followed by a choice of several posh puddings,I couldn't pronounce let alone spell. A pre match mention to BOBBY WALKER 4 years old brother of Elliot whose family eagerly await for the report on Sunday, can you let Bobby know he's mentioned. The word on the street is Father Christmas will be visiting him this year.
My note book having gone missing from the bar a search of the premises ensued,it was returned to me you guess who by.
A.. The Kray Brothers B.. The Chuckle Brothers or C The Austin Brothers. No prizes for this one.
The match official for the day Mr Louis Massarella,Kevin(bungle)Curtis having won the toss elected to defend the clubhouse end.The opening exchanges both teams cancelled each other out,on 20 minutes Belgrave mounted an attack through their forwards and reached the Harborough 5 yard line where the line held. Not to be thwarted (a good word for Sunday morning) Belgrave put the ball to their backs and went across field resulting in Kamil(the bolt)Szczepaniak scoring in the corner.
A few minutes later a long downfield kick by Belgrave put the ball on the Harborough 5 yard line with a player about to run it back,Joe(legohead)Pollard following up tackled him snatched the ball and went onto score,Kevin Curtis converted.Belgrave lead by 12 points to nil.
Market Harborough struck back and laid siege to the Belgrave line which held under sustained pressure until Jake Fordham scored under the posts with Laurence Joel converting.Half time the score stood at Belgrave 12 Market Harborough 7.
The second half saw Market Harborough playing 15 man rugby and taking the game to Belgrave who were managing to hold them but getting no ball themselvesThe pressure told and Milkha Basra out ran the defence to score.A penalty put Harborough in front by 17 points to 12.
At this point Belgrave shot themselves in the foot, twice. There were yellow cards for Patrick(the Viking warrior)Thomson and Jack Kyle in the space of 5 minutes. Can spectators please desist from leaving loaded firearms on the playing area things could get out of hand. Now down to 13 men Belgrave could only hope to keep the score down as Market Harborough took advantage of the situation.
There were further scores by Finley Clarke and Chris Bale to make the final score Market Harborough 31 to Belgraves 12 to keep them top of the league.
The ladies of the kitchen back on form with a spag bog washed down with a cheeky red wine.I made my way home under a sky lit up with fireworks it being both Diwali and Guy Fawkes night. The only man to enter The Houses of Parliament with good intentions. The next game is at home in The County Cup versus Syston this coming Wednesday.I hope to see you there.Just off now to be fitted for my bullet proof vest and steel helmet.
