Written by a man watching a man with his boots on fire, fearing for next week and watching the neighbourhood going down hill.

A fraught week coming up with Cheltenham races taking place, there will be much drinking and gambling in LE4 by the usual suspects, plus one of these suspects is moving into the road where I live,"There goes the neighbourhood" as they say in the USA.
But today a visit by Oakham Rugby Club, soon to be renamed Crellin Rugby Club as Mr and Mrs Crellin now have 3 grandsons playing for the team. The match official for the day Mr Andrew Forsythe who is employed in the legal profession.
0n the kick off Belgrave defended the clubhouse end from the opening kick off the Belgrave forwards led from the front by Patrick(the Viking warrior)Thomson who turns 30 today took charge of the game, after 10 minutes Belgraves forwards drove to the Oakham 22 where Gary(G man Chikopa) scored under the posts and converted by Jack Kyle.Belgraves forwards continued to keep Oakham under pressure from a rolling maul Connor Jackson scored, again Jack Kyle converted.
The move of the game followed an astute kick through by Roddy(weak ankles)Jonas into space behind the defence for the forwards to drive on,brought back for a forward pass.A long clearing kick by Oakham was caught in his own half by Osian(much travelled) Davies who ran it back drawing in the defence and putting kamil(the bolt)Szczepaniak away to cross the line from 20 yards out again another 2 points from Jack Kyle. From the following kick off Nathan (Wacko)Wells went on a 20 yard run shrugging off defenders to score another 2 points from Jack Kyle who will now be known as "My boots are on fire" whose this Kev Curtis any way.
The first half ended with the score Belgrave 28 Oakham 0.No famous people at the ground but someone called the injured players that were there and not playing " weasels" the name for a group of weasels is a "confusion of weasels" something worth knowing and can apply to Belgrave in the bar with after match celebrations.
For most of the second half Oakham put the Belgrave defence under pressure spending time camped inside their 22,this paid off as Dan Watkins opened the Oakham score.Oakham continued attacking but the Belgrave defence held.
Belgrave struck back again through their forwards who drove upfield,Elliot Walker coming from behind a scrum and putting Nathan Wells in for his second try and guess who converted with his boots on fire. Not to be confused with the Julie Driscoll hit from 1968 of "Wheels on fire"
Final score Belgrave 35 Oakham 7.
An after match birthday celebration for the Viking Warrior in his outfit plus welcome back from his travels to Japan Joe(lego head)Pollard with a large bottle of sak'e a strong rice wine the national drink of Japan which was duly consumed by the team. The rumour is it tastes like liquid deodorant, the roll on one.
no game next week,no doubt something will be planned, hopefully not involving sak'e.Just off now to barricade the street to stop the usual suspects moving in tomorrow.See you next game.
