Written by a man lost in time,by putting his clock forward in days not minutes, and about to move into higher circles.

Today the final away fixture of the season at Stewarts and Lloyds RFC at the steel town of Corby, with Joe(lego head )Pollard at the wheel, passengers Niall(right place right time)O'Connor and Osian(much travelled) Davies,on the music Kendrick Lamarr. On arrival at the ground having listened to Kendrick all the way,all I can say is come back George Formby all is forgiven.
The match official for the day Mr Terry Mallarky a salesman for fire prevention devices. On the kick off Belgrave attacked the clubhouse end.Belgrave took the lead after 5 minutes with Connor Jackson scoring in the corner from the rear of a 5 yard scrum. The home team needing points to move clear of the relegation zone put the Belgrave line under pressure for some time resulting in Dev Riley scoring.
On 30 minutes a 25 yard rolling maul by the Belgrave pack led as ever by Patrick(the Viking warrior)Thomson resulted in a score by the said Viking warrior. For the rest of the half Belgrave were camped inside the home sides 22 yard line, they fell inches short several times from scoring and this was to be crucial in the final result.Half time score Belgrave 12 Stewarts and Lloyds 5.
The opening of the second half both teams cancelled each other out in and around the halfway line. The home side drove into the Belgrave half and Lee Bell scored under the posts, this was followed up by a push over scrum with Mark Brookes falling on the ball. The score now 19 points to 12 in the home sides favour.Belgrave struck back through their backs with a 6 pass movement from the half way line resulting in Osian Davies crossing the line. The conversion missed by inches leaving Belgrave 2 points in arrears. Both teams battled to the end as time ran out final result Stewarts and Lloyds 19 to Belgraves 17.
A move up in the world for after the match drinks to The Bradgate Arms in Cropston with the cricket team,no sign of the Austin Brothers, and anyway they would no be allowed in,not posh enough.
Next week the final home fixture of the season where The Vipers will be the visitors and it is also The Presidents Lunch,it is rumoured that Lamarr Kendrick will be coming along to keep you all entertained, hence I will not be there.See you next week.
