Written by a man having problems parking his car but meets his greatest fan.Not Michael Gove.

Today started with a trip to Birmingham airport to pick up Tom(statto)Hunter now known as Winston Churchill in China and Joe(legohead)Pollard famed for his quick running in Shanghai. both returning from a 2 week trip to China.A few parking problems but got back safely.
A trip to Paviors RFC with Wayne the navigator then followed on arrival could not find a parking spot finished up parking behind the posts. The rest of this report is dedicated to Mr Ronald Clements a highly educated gentleman of Paviors RFC,well he must be he reads my match reports and can remember them all.Plus he sponsored todays match ball,a photo of us both should be on Paviors website.
With Paviors safe in midtable and Belgrave already relegated the game was set fair for both teams to play open rugby. The match official for the day was Mr James Franco a native of Derby an engineer by trade. His father was Italian so no relation to General Franco or that well known entertainer of 1950s radio fame Ronald Franco.
Both teams started to play open running rugby with Paviors taking the lead with scores by Jim Reeson,Bob Ratcliffe and Tom Winnning.Belgrave were playing catchup and scored via Ashley Clarke and Ian(trigger)Deacon.Half time saw Paviors in front by 26 points to 12.
The second half continued in the same vein with both teams going all out to score and keeping the large crown entertained. An incident then occurred for which I have been waiting several seasons to write. That 9 stone of pure power Brant Wilson got the ball and ran from his own half outstripping the defence and dived over the line to score his first try for Belgrave first team. The first of many more to come I would suggest.Well done Brant. The number of times you have nearly made it and today you did.
On the last play of the game Joe(legohead)Pollard took the ball on the halfway line and cut through Paviors defence showing a display of great speed last seen when he was running to the toilet in Shanghai. He made it that day and he made it today scoring the last try of the game.Final score Paviors 41 Belgrave 31 a fine display of open running rugby.Well done to both teams.Belgrave falling short by 10 points but picking up a try scoring bonus point.
Next week the last fixture of the season at home to Spalding, there is a pre match lunch with 100 plus sitting down, there may be some room left so get in touch with Bruce Ord if you wish to attend.
Now you are not going to believe this,I came into the office to write this report on a Sunday afternoon and could find nowhere to park. There was large wedding taking place nearby and I had to park half a mile away and walk. But should be alright at Belgrave next week as I walk from home. hope to see you there.
