Belper United made the trip to Linby Colliery with 5 players missing. Steve Watson had Joe Sparhan and Jordan McRobie suspended, Josh Wisdom was unavailable and then Jamie Wilde and Craig Riley pulled out late in the day through illness. Ben Litchfield came in at centre half, Tom Curtis started on the left of midfield with Ben Summers going up front.
Linby started the brighter and could of been 1 up as early as 3 minutes when Adam Jablonski miss-kicked a clearance but his defenders came to his rescue and scrambled the ball to safety. 5 minutes later Adam Jablonski made amends for his earlier error with a great one handed save from a dipping 20 yard volley.
After 15 minutes Belper United finally got a foothold in the match, with Scott Clapperton and Dan Riley getting control of the midfield. United started to have the best of the chances and Luke Crosby was unlucky to see a shot come back of a post.
On 37 minutes Belper United took a deserved lead. Tom Curtis cut in from the left and smashed an unstoppable right-footed shot in off the bar from 25 yards. It was the youngsters first goal for the club. 4 minutes later, Luke Crosby scored one of his trademark individual goals deceiving two defenders before his deflected shot squeezed past the Linby goalkeeper.

The second half was a more even affair but Belper United should of added to the lead. Sam Vickers had two excellent one on one chances and Luke Crosby was again denied by the woodward.
Substitute Ollie Shelton came on with 15 minutes left and hit a dipping 25 yard volley which just cleared the crossbar.

Steve Watson says 'We fully deserved our win today. After 15 minutes we started to dominate the game and scored two very good goals. The second half we put in a controlled performance and even though we didnt add to the scoreline I was very pleased with a clean sheet.'
