Belper United had to made 2 changes. Adam Taylor and Jay Harrison were unavailable but Scott Slater and Tim Perry returned.

Belper United started well in a scrappy match destined to be a close game.

After 15 minutes United took the lead. An Ash Dhindsa through ball released Matt Wright who ran in on goal and finished into the bottom corner for his 2nd goal in two games.

After 25 minutes the game was looking to be wrapped up by United when Tim Perry was upended in the penalty area when one on one. Inexplicably the referee waved away the penalty claim and booked the player for diving. Ben Summers then when bearing down on goal could only shoot straight at the keeper.

Mickleover Royals let of the hook then came into the game and dominated the last 15 minutes with Niall Mather causing trouble coming forward from fullback.

The second half started an even affair but a Mickleover Royals break brought an equaliser. A long ball out of defence found Niall Mather now on the right, a brilliant ball with the outside of the boot found a Royals striker and a neat finish evened up the game.

Belper United looked to hit straight back and after a number off missed chances took the lead for a second time. Joe Conkleton challenged the keeper in the six yard box who made a right hash of catching the ball and left Tim Perry with a simple tap in from virtually on the line.

Mickleover Royals werent finished and found another equaliser. A long ball into the United box, saw a mix up with the defence and keeper and the ball was headed into a empty net.

Late on United had chances to take all three points but failed to make the most of there opportunities.

Paul Postlethwaite says 'I am pleased with the commitment the team showed but we looked a little heavy legged at times tonight. We had enough chances to win the game and it cost us all 3 points. As a team we all need to do better in front of goal. We still have a busy couple of weeks and could still have a say in who will win the league and a League Cup Semi-final to look forward to.
