Tom Stimpson

A remarkable man. If averages were done on enthusiasm, Stimmo would be top every year. In fact, his enthusiasm for cricket is only outweighed by his enthusiasm for everything else - sometimes, if appears that he pays his annuals purely so that he has access to a massive field to wang a frisbee about. Also the clubs leading water slide enthusiast, any kind of club success is always tempered by the fact that it is followed by Stimmo doing a full 40m slide in his tighty whities. Batting-wise, he is very much a disciple of the Keith Goodman bottom hand thug. If its up there, he will be swinging his bat in the vague location of the ball and to hell with the consequences. Bowling is a real smorgasboard of different deliveries - It's a good job this profile doesn't have a bowling type, as RAF/FM/M/OB/LS looks a bit silly. Fielding involves happily galloping around the field like an unseated horse at the Grand National.

How long have you played for Bentley CC?
I think Brian Coleman and Martin Larrett turned up to Doddinghurst Junior school in year 5 or 6 to see if anyone was interested in cricket. Only 4 people turned up and the rest is history. I make that around 14 years ago.
