Excitement Builds as Cricket Season Opener Approaches

With the league fixtures finally released, teams are gearing up for thrilling encounters on the pitch.

The 1st XI are start the season with a league cup fixture against Southend & EMT on April 27th, followed by a village cup clash against High Roding the very next day. The league season commences on May 11th with an away game against West Essex, a team that clinched promotion last season. As they aim for a strong start, the 1st XI will then host Barking in Week 2. The season will culminate on September 7th with a home game against Wickford, setting the stage for a potential promotion celebration for either side.

Under the leadership of JP, the 2nd XI will be eyeing promotion themselves and a return to Division 3 after securing 4th and 6th place finishes in the previous two seasons. Their journey begins on May 4th with an away fixture against Eastwood, a team relegated from Division 3 last year. A week later, they will face Basildon & Pitsea. The season will conclude with matchups against Stock and Great Wakering.

Led by the seasoned Ross Marder, the 3rd XI start their season with an away fixture against South Loughton, followed by a home game against Theydon Bois. Their journey will come to an end with games against Writtle away and Terling at home.
