The FA announced the league allocations at the weekend. As expected, the bottom three came down from the division above, St Neots Town, Halesowen Town and Bedworth United. Three teams came up after winning their step 5 leagues. They are Biggleswade (Spartan South Midlands), Daventry Town (United Counties) and Wantage Town (Hellenic).
Champions Peterborough Sports and play-off winners Bromsgrove Sporting went up and Dunstable Town and Aylesbury FC were relegated. To keep the division at 20 teams, two clubs are to be shifted to neighbouring leagues and they are Sutton Coldfield Town and Cambridge City.
The final line- up will be determined at the Southern League’s AGM in mid-June. Changes are possible in the intervening period, for example if clubs win appeals against their allocation.
