Mick, who leaves with the very best wishes from Berko FC, has issued the following statement:
"I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thanks to everyone involved with Berkhamsted FC over the past 10 years. I have loved my time at the club and made many friends, both on and off the pitch. I joined Berko with the team playing at step 7 and are now competing at step 4 and I hope in some small way I have helped the club to make progress up the non-league ladder.
I have been asked by Leverstock Green FC, who have had an extremely difficult time both on and off the pitch, with the very sad news of the passing of Graham Smart who was the current Chairman, to ASSIST the current Manager Matt Harding in trying to bring some happier times back to the club...ONLY TIME WILL TELL.
I certainly don't intend to become a stranger at Berko FC and still plan to keep in touch and watch the team play whenever possible. Just to finish, I believe the club are in very good hands and can only see them going from strength to strength.
It was also a lovely gesture by the committee to give me the title of club President, something I never believed I could be given. ONCE AGAIN A HUGE THANKS".
