Berkshire defeated Wales National Counties by three wickets in a thrilling NCCA Trophy Group 4 game at Newport.
Replying to their hosts' 247-6 off 50 overs, the holders got home with nine balls to spare after skipper Richard Morris had made 67 and Dan Lincoln 55, the pair adding 118 for the fourth wicket.
The day's top scorer was the home side's Oskar Kolk with 94, followed by Cameron Herring with 62.
It was Wales' first defeat in the group, but they remain top of the table on six points after being the first county to play all their four games. Berkshire are second on four points followed by Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire all on two points.
The group will be completed next Sunday when Berks take on Bucks at Wargrave while Oxon host Beds at Aston Rowant. It looks likely the final placings will be decided on run-rate.
