With the cost-of-living crisis effecting many families up and down the country, we have decided from now until the end of the season there will be no £1 attendance fee at Mini’s training. This will be reviewed at the start of next season.
The club have also set aside £500 to create a new bursary towards mini’s memberships. If any partners are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, the club would be happy to have a discreet discussion with you about your child’s annual membership. This applies to current parents of minis and any parents who would like to come along but are worried about the costs involved.
We would also like to remind all parents that would like to bring their children along, we have a 4 week “try before you” policy to see if you children enjoy rugby before asking you to commit to a membership for them.
If anyone would like to apply to the bursary, please contact Lesley in the club office by emailing admin@berwickrugbyclub.co.uk or calling 01289 30214 , who would be happy to have a discreet discussion with you. We will not be requiring proof of income etc. But would ask parents will be sensible when accessing their needs to apply.
Once the £500 is exhausted the committee will then review the position. But it will be on a first come first served basis.
Rugby should be a sport for all and hopefully we are able to play our part in making this happen.
