FULL TIME | ALNWICK 34–14 BERWICK

Not the result we wanted from our first league outing of the season, but plenty to take away and build on!

A tough local derby against Alnwick saw the Diamonds put under pressure, but the ladies kept battling right until the final whistle. There were some really positive moments across the pitch and, with a few new faces settling into the squad, there’s lots for us to work with as the season gets underway.

Two tries on the board for the Diamonds, with Lola-Jo Hastie and Chloe Gray both crossing the whitewash, and Chloe adding both conversions.

FULL TIME:
Alnwick 34
Berwick 14

Try scorers:
Lola-Jo Hastie x1
Chloe Gray x1
(The Frame Family)

Conversions:
Chloe Gray x2

A disappointing scoreline, but it’s game one of a long season. We’ll regroup, learn from it and get back to work at training.

Huge thanks to everyone who travelled down to support us, and to Alnwick for the game — round one of four done!
