Visitors Bicester were completely annihilated by the extra pace, fitness, handling skills, support play and the cohesion of league leaders Old Patesians, who scored 16 tries, of which 13 were converted by fly-half James Hayden, who also slotted a penalty goal. Scrum and line-out errors by the injury hit visitors accounted for 6 of the tries, whilst flimsy tackling and a handling error contributed to at least another 4 tries. Bicester did fare slightly better in the second half, when centre Eddie Roberts scored a try converted by fellow centre Dan Spencer, 10 minutes into the session, to reduce the deficit to 69 points. the visiting forwards again drove well off the set pieces, but possession was then often spilled, and the hosts took full advantage to counter attack clinically. Try scorers for Patesians were flanker Richard Hance (4), winger Stefan Morgan (3), centre Jack Harrod, winger Duncan Spurrier and replacement Scott Alldritt, all of whom crossed the line twice, with full back Lee Hatherway, no.8 George Angell, and outside-centre James Aherne, adding 1 apiece. Bicester are now 11 points adrift at the bottom of the table, but do have a game in hand to second from bottom, Grove, who lost away to Marlow.

Bicester opened brightly winning 2 scrums, a line-out and 2 penalties in quick succession, before James Hayden banged over a penalty for Patesians after 7 minutes. Straightaway, blindside flanker Richard Hance evaded some weak Bicester tackling to sprint down the left side. James Aherne, likewise, sped down the left, past more flimsy tackling attempts, for an unconverted try, to give Patesians a 17 point advantage after just 10 minutes play. Then from a line out, full back Hatherway sent centre Jack Harrod racing through a wide-open Bicester defence, to the posts. Hayden converted both this one and the next try, when Stefan Morgan finished off a slick passing move. A grubber kick by Bicester fly-half Charlie Bethell, was then gathered by Patesians, before more superb handling resulted in an unconverted try on the right, for no.8 George Angell. immediately, Morgan sprinted down the leftside from half-way, for a converted try, his 2nd of the game, and Patesians lead was 43 points after 27 minutes. Next Bicester were penalised at a scrum, and the ball was moved to the right, with winger Duncan Spurrier crossing in the corner. The conversion attempt was off target, but soon Hance Galloped across for his second try, from a line-out. Hayden converted both this one and the try by Lee Hatherway on the stroke of half time, after Patesians stole Bicester line-out ball.
At the start of the 2nd period of play, Hance raced under the posts for his 3rd try, after the visitors again lost their line-out ball. Hayden converted this try and then Jack harrod’s 2nd try a few moments later. Then after winning their scrum ball, Patesians lost possession, and Bicester centre Eddie Roberts hacked the loose ball forward, before picking up, and sprinting down the centre to the posts for a try, which Dan Spencer also converted. next, replacement Scott Alldritt darted across for 2 converted tries, and Duncan Spurrier’s 2nd unconverted try ensued. Morgan then recorded his hat-trick of tries, after Bicester lost their own scrum, and a day to forget by the visitors ended with Richard Hance scoring his 4th try. Hayden added the conversions.
